THE POWER OF IDENTIFICATION

Summary

This paper is my response to the invitation of prof. Dr Milan Vukomanovic to contribute to a book dedicated to our professor Djuro Susnjic. My approach is not a critical retrospective view, judgement or evaluation. I am not in a sufficiently senior position to provide an overview of his work or to speak authoritatively about the major achievements of our professor. My approach for this paper is to condense my experience of twenty years of discipleship. From my first meeting, which was at the end of the eighties, until today, the professor has always shared his knowledge. This is the secret of a good professor – to give unselfishly and tireless, to talk with an aesthetics form of language that has a clear message at all times not just during the classes. It is very important to have a good lecture, to receive polite letters, but the most beautiful is man who keeps to his word. It is about man who is firm like a stone with the spoken and written word.
