COLLECTIVE SHIFT OF MIND

Resume

Very few articles has been written about collective shift of mind - collective metanoia in our country. Doubtless, it is necessary that this term should be further defined and systematized. In one transitional society such as Serbia, it is necessary that one besides social and political shift, encounters change on psychological and spiritual level. This requires formation of new collective identity firmly rooted in traditional christian values and its moral and ethical principles. In this context, religious aspect of collective metanoia represents process in which smaller or greater group or society, changes old system of beleives for new one, confronts with own guilts and mistakes and makes radical turn toward formation of new identity. This is neccesary condition – or to be more specific - condition sine qua non for society to overcome chalenges of postmodern world.
