ADOLESCENTS' RELIGIONESS IN THE NORTH OF KOSOVO
SUMMARY
The basic purpose of the research is to get insight into levels of religionness, as well as dominant forms of religious behavior of adolescents in Kosovska Mitrovica, ten years after the bombardment followed by coming of international military troops to Kosovo and Metohija territory. We tried to determine if and to what extent the basic component of religionness – religious behavior (embodied in participating in performing ordinances, church visits, celebrating slava, having crosses, icons and other religious artifacts in possession in household, giving donations for church...) is followed by other aspects of religionness, such as religious identification (confessional origin, declaring of interviewees regarding religious conformity...), knowledge of doctrines (as a result of upbringing within the family, attending religion teaching classes, having conversations with representatives of the Church, friends...), understanding relationships between religion and the nation, as well as having tolerance towards members of different religious communities. We also tried to determine the link between socio-demographic characteristics of interviewees and their religioness, primarily the influence of sex, social background and habitat. The sample of interviewees was formed of secondary school students in Kosovska Mitrovica (N=89).
Key words: religion, religioness, religious behavior, secondary school population
