INFLUENCE OF ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH ON INTEGRATION OF BELIEVERS IN SREMSKA MITROVICA

Summary

Religion and religious communities, can be as a factor of integration or disintegration of communities. In this paper author starts from functionalist's theoretical approach. As a sample of function of integration there are Roman Catholic Church in Sremska Mitrovica. Orientation each to other in a religious activities in church and outside the church, lead to include individuals in religious community. Religious communities, in a base of moral and social doctrine, try to influence on believers and in society. Beside this individual field, religion influence social life and all practical life. Roman Catholic Church in Sermska Mitorovica is a good example who is minority, where is Serbian Orthodox Church majority, with own activities assemble believers in social liefs of parish of Roman Catholic believers.
