Monika TokaiSuboticaPREVENTION OF SUICIDE AND SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORSResume

The phenomenon of suicide begins along with the history od humanity. The suicide in a sense of selfdestruction is a very complex phenomenon with no concrete couse or motive, it is a result of many different cicumstances. This act is caused by diverse factors, such as: external and internal ones, i.e. social, biological and psychological factors and characteristics. Many philosophers, theoogists, psychologists and other scientists tried to understand it, but, it is still an enormous secret, full od mystic and for many people it is ununderstandable, opposite to that great existential force that lives in a human being.

Zlatiborka PopovUniversity of Serbian SarajevoI (IMIC) SarajevoORTHODOXIZUM (ORTHODOX CHURCH) AND THE CHALLENGES OF DEMOCRATIZATION, MULTICULTURALISM AND TOLERANCESummary

In this work, it has been tried to deal with the relationship between the Orthodoxy and modern contemporary processes and challenges, first of all democratization, multiculturalism and tolerance. It was pointed out that the Orthodoxy and Orthodox churches have neither authoritarian structure of their organization nor authoritarian dogma (negative, apophatic approach), for instead of somowhat opsession with hieararchy, sins and justification, present in the Western Christianity, the emphasize is on love and the so called term of deification or divinization- theosis ("God became human that we humans might become god")...

Opposite to widely present fear from destructive features of globalization, sociologists of religion claim that the globalization has good influence on religion. Globalization, by allowing de-secularization, not only repressed secularization but also brought about unique religious boom in the world. One of the products of globalization of religion certainly is spectacular spread of evangelistic Pentecostalism. It is, in accordance with tendency of de-territoryzation of religion, after success in kin-state, and after even bigger missionary successes of conversion and proselytism in Latin America, Africa...

Milan VukomanovićBeogradRELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IN ISLAMIC SPAINSummary

This work deals with inter-religious relations between Muslims, Jews and Christians in Islamic Spain from 8-15th centuries. The Umayyad rulers of Spain transformed Cordoba, a sleepy and remote Mediterranean town, into a European medieval center. In the ninth and tenth centuries, this city became the most civilized European center, the „bride of Andalusia" and „ornament of the world". At that time, the Muslim Spain was the most prosperous and cultural part of Europe. Religious and inter-ethnic tolerance was largely practiced there, along with free philosophical discussions, building of libraries, universities, public baths and parks, as well as poetry and architecture. Zoltan RajkiHungaryConversions in Hungary after the Change of RegimeSummary

Interest in religion increased in Hungary in the years following the change of regime. I collected 75 interviews from people (from 12 churches) being converted during these years. The importance of personal relationship with God in conversions among interviewed people rose compared to the Bible's concept, while the role of repentance reduced. Conversion as getting free from sin or as accepting a dogmatic system is rather characteristic of some free churches. Some people connected their conversion to a concrete event; others described it as a process.

There is a relation between the conversion and upbringing. People educated both at home and in the church religiously did not leave their faith. The religiosity of...
