KOINONIA AND EKKLESIE

SUMMARY

In this article, the author examines the ecclesiological and sociological aspects of the concept of fellowship in the light of the Imago Dei. Also, he considers the Eucharist as the most central symbol of fellowship of believers in which the believer enters into relationship both with God and with others. The relationship which is key in this covenant is in fact a foretaste of a future fellowship, a fellowship which is a symbol of eternal, personal fellowshipping with the Triune God.

Key words: Fellowship, church, Eucharist, Holy Trinity.
