Osijek, CroatiaMEANING OF TRANSCENDENCY IN POSTMODERNISMResume

We live in times of society transitions, but also in times of transitions of religious reality. Western understanding of religiosity significantly has influence on globalistic level, which is partialy begins to feel in our areas. Religious changes are visible on lower level of ecclesiastical identification and participation, as even in reduced influence of religiosity on everyday life of a believer. Transcedentity as inner expression of communication with God, in postmodernism becomes inferior in relation to religious visible form. Novi BečejSummaryThe Relationship Between Theology and Philosophy in the Middle Age

As the mankind has changed trough history, so has the significance of philosophy. It has traveled a long way, from the sublime, over needed, to useful, but regardless of everything it succeeded to maintain! In the middle ages it was under the submission of theology what made it appear less useful and influential. Maybe at the first glance this doesn't appear to be so due to not being admired by the church fathers, but if it wasn't philosophy, neither the theology could have risen so high. Philosophers were condemned and seen as nonbelievers, but the essence of every Christian teaching consists of their knowledge. Philosophy was pushed out of the first view but was never destroyed. How would...

Summary

FROM UNIFORMITY TO DIVERSITY OR FROM SIMILARITY TO DIVERSITY

"The one who speaks of postmodernism actually speaks of modern." Because postmodernism makes sense only when relating to that which is modern. Let us first consider what an overview of postmodernism offers. Its goal is not so much to teach us something new as much as an attempt to break our old habits. That is the reason why the work of postmodernists should be appreciated more for the questions asked rather than for the answers given. Postmodernists are more skilful in asking questions and less in giving answers!

Key words: postmodernism, modern, relativism, pluralism, universalism.
